The Newest addition to Fosters Follies is here!  Sunny; an absolutely fabulous stallion prospect.  Friendly, correct, and gaited so naturally.  This is one of the  Last Chance/Gambler lines we are breeding for. He will be the most flashy golden palomino with little white socks on all four legs, and a little star.

This site is dedicated to what I believe is the cross of the future - a blend of bloodlines that will bring the walking horse back to its roots - an intelligent, steady, sure-footed, smooth-gaited family horse.

Last ChanceThe first line is one that has been carefully preserved for generations - the Last Chance line of horses. The second is a relatively new line - that of Golden Gambler. The two lines have now been crossed with marvelous results - the traits I mentioned before combined with outstanding physical beauty and stunning color. I hope that by continuing to cross these lines and carefully selecting outcrosses, to have the kind of success that Albert Dement had when he created the Last Chance line.

The Last Chance bloodline is still revered for many of its original traits, but the heavy line breeding practiced today has created a more limited gene pool and a new compatible bloodline is needed to enhance the Last Chance blood and bring back the hybrid vigor. For me, the question was "which bloodline?"Golden Gambler

As the show ring became the focus of the breed, the walking horse lost many of its original characteristics. The heavy pads worn by "performance" show horses changed the timing of the gait, so in order to produce a running walk while wearing the heavy weights a pacey horse was needed. The performance horse was also expected to be showy and hot - a far cry from the original laid-back disposition of the walking horse. These traits are not what I'm interested in breeding for, so that removes horses with recent "World Grand Champion" bloodlines.

Memory's Royal Chance. Click here for more information!Golden Gambler is the sire to many of my foals and I just love their conformation and attitude.  I bred my last chance mare to him and got the most incredible cremello filly in 2006. I love what I am getting from the mix of Golden Gambler and Last Chance bloodlines.

I was so excited about the results that I bought a unique Last Chance stallion to be the future herd sire for my Golden Gambler mares. His sire is loaded with Last Chance line of John A’s Chance - Cream Chance, Chance’s Gold Dust H., Chance's Cream Chance ... and that is just his sire’s side! His Dam goes directly back to Last Chance and is the only living Tennessee Walking Horse that has Last Chance as sire on stud listing on the 3rd generation and Gay Chance as sire on 2nd generation, Tripple Chance D. as grand sire and Merry Man Chance D. as sire! The outcome will be awesome.
